About Huckabay, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Huckabay is an unincorporated Texas community located at the intersection of Texas State Highway 108 with Farm Road 129. Only a handful of people live in this area, which is found about 10 miles northwest of Stephenville. This small town was founded in the late 1800s by John A. Huckabay and several others when they were moving westward from Tennessee and Arkansas. The Huckabay Independent School District serves the area and runs the local Huckabay High School, where older children will complete their secondary education.

There are only a few businesses located in Hucakabay, including Hannibal Store and Oak Dale Steak House & Soda Shoppe, although both have Stephenville addresses. There are a variety of things to see and do in neighboring Stephenville, including playing a round of golf at Tejas Golf Course or booking a service at Zen Spa & Salon. Other notable Stephenville attractions include the Stephenville Historical House Museum, Hoof Prints Ranch, and Hideaway Ranch Horseback Riding.

It is important for Huckabay residents and visitors to understand what they should expect in terms of weather in this community. The summer months can be dangerously hot, and during July and August, average daily highs reach the mid-90s. There are also several days per year in which thermostat readings surpass 100 degrees, so an energy efficient air conditioning unit is needed to both keep indoor temperatures cool while improving air quality.

The winter months in Hucakaby tend to be pleasant and warm compared to other parts of the U.S., but this does not mean that residents won’t need to invest in home heating climate controls. Temperatures often fall into the 30s during the overnight hours, and snowfall occurs periodically. A home heating system is crucial for keeping indoor conditions comfortable, and luckily for Huckabay residents, they won’t need to be used for long.
